Hi, my name is David Strickleton and this is a blog all about writing fiction.

I have been writing mostly short stories for the last 10 years. However, I am currently working on my first novel (working title: The River) and trying to soak up as much advice and wisdom about the art and craft of writing fiction as possible. To this end I thought it would be a good idea to start my own blog on this subject and hopefully engage other readers and bloggers with shared knowledge and opinions.
